Jack Rooke, a 25 year old writer, presenter and comedian, is on a mission to move the conversation around mental health forward.

After losing his best friend, Olly, to suicide, Rooke, an ambassador for mental health charity CALM, staged Happy Hour, a comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe, described as a 'brotherly love letter', which featured film and music alongside research on what could be done in the UK to fix mental health problems. The 2017 production followed his debut comedy show Good Grief, co-written with his grandmother, about losing his father to cancer. Now he has penned a book, Cheer the F**K Up, released May 2 2019, an empowering guide on how to talk to your friends about their state of mind.
